About CA Fire Map

CA Fire Map is an independent directory of California wildfire resources. We collect the official sources Californians need before and during fire season: county alert sign-ups, emergency services offices, air districts, CAL FIRE units, shelters, aid and home-hardening programs.

Where our data comes from

Every listing links to the public source we used, such as the Cal OES CalAlerts county sign-up list, the California Air Resources Board's air district directory and CAL FIRE's unit map. We check listings regularly, but agencies change their pages, so always confirm with the official source.

What we are not

We are not a government agency and we don't issue alerts. During a fire, follow evacuation orders from local officials and call 911 in an emergency.
